Terms & Conditions.
SECURING A BOOKING
You will be required to pay a 20% booking deposit to secure your date. Paying this booking deposit is your agreement to our Terms and Conditions.
Photoshoots, special occasions and all other non-wedding bookings, a 50% deposit will be required.
Your wedding date is confirmed once Alice has received your deposit via bank transfer. You have two days to pay the deposit before Alice will release your date to other enquiries.
A date cannot be held without a booking deposit and the requested date will still be open to other enquiries.
Once the deposit is received, you will receive confirmation with the details of your booking.
The booking deposit is non-refundable unless cancelled by Alice.
You will be required to pay 50% of the remaining balance at the trial stage and the remaining 50% four weeks before your wedding day.
There is a minimum spend of £600 for all bookings Thursday-Sunday & Bank Holidays (not including travel fee or assistant fee’s). Bookings Monday-Wednesday there is a minimum spend of £500.
All payments are to be made via bank transfer.
TRAVEL
The cost of your Artist’s travel is covered by the client. Travel is charged at 50p per mile.
All parking, public transport and congestion charges are chargeable to the client.
Inside the M25 surcharge of £40 (Driving)
Train travel time to and from London surcharge £60.
Parking must be made available and paid for for your artist on your wedding day.
CANCELLATIONS
In the very unlikely incidence that your artist is sick for your wedding day (this has never happened before), you will be entitled to a full refund (excluding money paid for work already carried out - Deposit and Trial fee).
If you choose to cancel your booking less than 8 weeks prior to your wedding date, all payments you have paid up to that point are non-refundable and you will be required to pay any outstanding payments in full.
If you choose to cancel before the 8 weeks, any payments made up to that point are non refundable (deposit and trial fee if applicable) and you will not be charged any remaining payments.
You cannot reduce the size of your booking less than 8 weeks prior to your wedding date.
Your 20% booking deposit fee is non refundable unless cancelled by your Artist.
If after the trial, you choose not to go forward with your booking, you will be required to pay for your trial as this is a separate chargeable service. Your booking deposit is a non-refundable separate fee to the trial cost and you will be invoiced for your trial and any travel charges.
Please note that if an invoice is paid late, the statutory interest rate will be applied.
YOUR WEDDING TRIAL
The trial is normally 2-4 months before the wedding date as this gives a better indication of how your skin & hair is closer to the wedding day, please allow 2-3 hours for your trial.
Trials are held at Alice’s home in Oxfordshire (SN7) unless discussed otherwise.
Trials are held on weekdays.
Individual lashes or strip lashes are included in the booking price if you wish to have them.
If a second trial is required, you will be charged the full trial price for this.
It is the Client’s responsibility to inform your artist of any allergies, conditions or skin sensitivities before any service is carried out.
Images will be shared on social media and the website, if you would not like your image to be shared, please inform Alice in writing.
COVID-19 & Postponements
We strongly recommend you take out wedding insurance. If your booking is directly affected by circumstances beyond your Artists control, we will do our best to recover the situation however your artist will not be liable to offer compensation.
Your booking deposit fee is non refundable regardless of the circumstance if you choose to cancel. This covers holding fee for your date and administration costs.
Postponing to a new date that your artist is not available for will be treated as a cancellation and your booking deposit fee and any payments paid so far will be non refundable (as per cancellation policy above).
If you have to postpone, you will be charged £50 admin fee at the time of postponing. This only covers postponing your date once, each time after that you will be charged an additional £50.
If you postpone one year ahead of your original date, a 20% charge will be applied to your booking to cover inflation costs.
Should your artist require a Covid-19 test to be able to provide a service on your wedding day, the cost of the test will be charged to the client.
We reserve the right to update these terms and conditions and will issue revised editions on doing so.
By paying a booking deposit fee, you are agreeing to and accepting the Terms and Conditions of Hair & Makeup by Alice Derbyshire as stated above.
